At Bathurst Cosmedical & Skin Care Clinic we offer skin care treatments including wrinkle treatments for dynamic wrinkles such as frown lines and crows feet and also wrinkles which are present at rest.

Dynamic wrinkles are best treated with muscle relaxants, for example Botox.

A very fine solution of the muscle relaxant is injected into the wrinkle causing muscle, temporarily making it inactive. Following the treatment, lines no longer appear  in the treated muscle when you frown or smile. Results last as long as six months in some patients.

We also offer treatments with Dermal fillers such as Juv’ederm to enhance facial features and replace volume loss.  Dermal fillers can also be used for wrinkles which are present at rest.

Dermal fillers are injected, under local anaesthetic, using a very fine needle.  The effects of temporary fillers, such as Juv’ederm (used for lip enhancement volume replacement in nasolabial  folds, cheeks, chin, tear troughs and other sites on the face with volume loss) can last, on average for twelve months or more depending on the site and the product.

Miscellaneous treatments

Alopecia Areata
We treat patchy hair loss (Alopecia Areata) on the beard area, scalp and other parts of the body.

Painful Joints
We treat painful joints by injection of anti-inflammatory medicine for long term relief.

Cysts, Lumps & Bumps
We offer surgical removal of lumps [such as lipomas (fat tumours)] cysts of different  types (including sebaceous), abscesses and draining of painful haematomas, also unsightly lumps and bumps (including those on the face).

Hyperhidrosis
We offer treatment for Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) with Botulinum Toxin, e.g., Botox.

Ingrown Toenails
Removal of part of  a diseased nail by surgical methods (under local anaesthetic) for permanent treatment of recurrent nail infection.

Contraception
An Implanon rod is inserted into the upper arm for long term contraceptive purposes. Removal of Implanon rods are also carried out.
